Meet Your Hosts
It all began with a dream to share the friendship, adventure, and memories we have gained through Cacao, Art, Yoga, and a love of Nature. We designed this retreat to share the art of living simply and connecting to the elements around us in a fluid and intentional way.

Caro Arévalo is a Peruvian visual artist based in Upstate, NY. Her artwork explores the plant and fungi kingdoms, both as seen with the naked eye and through microscopes; examining the taxonomy and physicality of living beings, as well as ttheir cosmogonies and energetics.
From her Amazonian heritage, Caro embraces the interconnectedness of all beings, the significance of rituals and ancestral wisdom in deepening our connection with nature and thus, our day to day lives. Through her paintings, classes and videos, Caro invites us to cultivate more love towards ourselves and our planet, staying creative, curious and aligned with our purpose in the world.
Caro studies the ways of cacao under the Tz’utujil community and Cacao Laboratory. She is also a student of Tibet House, Dharma Moon and Adrienne Fisher.
Caro has facilitated workshops at The Museum of Moving Image, Anima Mundi Herbals, Mycelium Mysteries, Spirit Weavers, The Alchemist’s Kitchen and is a guest teacher at Wildflower Farms.
