Shop policies, returns and customs

 

All things VAT, Customs, Shop Policies, Cancelling and Returning items.

  • All orders shipped outside the USA may be subject to duty, customs, VAT or taxes fees.

  • No extra U.S. export tariff expected but import rules vary by country of desitnation. International shipping costs do not include the payment of these duties. In case customs are charged this payment is full responsibility of the recipient. 

  • VAT/Customs: VAT, custom or tax duties are directly controlled and collected by your country once the package arrives to the custom's checkpoint. Your package may need to be cleared from customs directly by you and you may also need to pay these custom fees. Please check your tracking number to get the latest updates on this. 

  • Customers in the EU and UK may be required to pay VAT and additional service fees charged by their local customs office. These charges can apply to all international packages, regardless of the order value.

    I do not collect or remit VAT at checkout. The customer (you) is responsible to pay VAT. Your country will assess and collect VAT once the package arrives at customs. Please note that this may result in delivery delays (sometimes 2 weeks or longer), as well as possible processing fees. You may wish to contact your local customs office beforehand to understand what charges may apply.

    Please be aware that import taxes and fees are not included in my product prices or shipping costs. Any additional VAT, duties, or handling fees are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid in order to receive your package.

  • In order to determine an approximate of how much you'll need to pay for these fees you can contact your country's custom office. Caro Arevalo Studio doesn't collect VAT nor any customs fees and isn't responsible for any fees, custom or vat taxes charged by your country. These fees are the customer’s full responsibility so please, please, please, shop mindfully and make sure you keep track of your order to pay for customs once they arrive ♡

  • Returns by the postal service: If a package isn't cleared by the customer at the customs office the package will be sent back to my studio.

  • If I receive a package back I am happy to re-send the package, charging the customer a new shipping fee (this will be the actual shipping fee it costs to send your item, not the flat shipping fee you paid when shopping in my shop). If you wish to get a refund instead, please be aware that refunds are made of the original cost minus the shipping fee and a $20 fee for handling and re-stocking.

  • Your order can be canceled only up to 24 hours after purchasing, via email. We take the restocking fee at 20% of your total order. We do not accept cancellations after 48 hours past the purchase and this includes pre-orders. Please cancel your order 24 hours after ordering by emailing info@carolina-arevalo.com

  • Please shop mindfully, as the teeny tiny business I have I can't control customs, taxes or duties charged by your country. Due to how delicate fine art is and the small business we are, we aren’t able to accept returns or exchanges at this moment.
